This Body Was not Made To Run!!!!!!

THIS BODY WAS NOT MADE TO RUN!
Hi Everyone,

I've just signed up to do the Manchester Midnight Walk. I stress 'walk' as we DO NOT RUN! This body was not made to run!

The event is for St Ann's Hospice which is a charity which means a lot to me. I'm a patron and am trying to do all I can to help.

The 10k walk is in it's 4th year and is taking place on 2 July. We're trying to raise as much cash as we can! I lost my Grandad to cancer 6 years ago and unfortunately he didn't get the greatest care. It wasn't long after that I first went to visit and I expected a dark and dismal place where people went to die - but I was surprised to see it was actually a bright and inspirational place with angels who work so hard to make the life of your loved ones the best it can be right to the end. Nearly half of their patients also go home again once treated in the hospice.

Unfortunately they get so little government funding and so they have to raise £16,000 every day just to keep their doors open. I know there are loads of events every year for charities in Manchester - and I know times are tougher than they've ever been, but we really need your help even more than ever as St Ann's have struggled, like all of us, through this recession. This has really hit their finances.

But this where you can help! The Manchester Midnight Walk is a really great event - it's fun to do and is a huge boost for the hospice (last year this event raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds!). It's just £15 to register and you can join me and thousands of others on the night.

There's plenty of ways to register, either go online at manchestermidnightwalk.org.uk or call 0161 498 3631

You can also sponsor me at http://www.justgiving.com/walkwithchelsea

Hope to see you there, and email me at chelsea@key103.co.uk if you have any questions. If you need any more information then get in touch.

Help Manchester Dog's Home!!!

Morning,

Well what a busy week already!

I'm still on the bloody diet - more on that on the Key 103 Breakfast pages - but it's also John Edward at the Apollo on Thursday, the Ladies Lunch for Cash4Kids on Friday - and Manchester Dog's Home have a fun day to raise cash on Sunday 23rd May.

Most of you will know I do as much as I can for Manchester Dog's Home - they are a brilliant charity. Each Christmas I unveil the Buy A Dog A Christmas Dinner Appeal - for all the doggies who have no families. I also told them I'd tell you about their great fun day this weekend - in the hope you'll all go and raise as much money as you can to help them. It's gonna be a great day from 11am to 4pm at Debdale Park on Hyde Road.

It's their 20th Annual Sponsored Dog Walk, you can walk dog's who live at the home from 1pm and there's loads of other stuff going on - like baloon modelling, face painting, a bouncy castle and a rodeo bull so it's a great day out for all the family.

If you're free, please head down and have a look. For more information go to: http://www.dogshome.net/

If you'd like to get in touch - email me at: chelsea@key103.co.uk

Take care, Chels x

Help a Homeless Doggy!

Hi Everyone,

I need your help!

I got an email yesterday from a lady called Jenny - desperately needing our help after trying loads of different ways to re-home her dog.

She has a Dalmation called Poppy, who's 7. Jenny got him 18 months ago from the dog's home after being dumped by his previous owner. She loves him to bits!

Problem is, Poppy is a bit scared of other dogs and children (may be due to him previously being ill treated). Jenny doesn't mind this - she takes him out when there's no other dogs around and she has no children. BUT now there's a problem - Jenny has fallen pregnant. And she's now worried Poppy won't take to this well and she's been advised to re home her.

But due to these tendancies and the fact she's 7, nobody wants her.

That's where you come in! Jenny is devastated and doesn't want Poppy to be put to sleep. She would be suited to someone with no kids, who has time to get to know her and somewhere to run around.

Please can you help?

Or do you know of anyone who can? Jenny is 5 months pregnant and time is running out.

If you can email me now at: chelsea@key103.co.uk

Thanks and can't wait to hear from you.

Your Ladies Lunch Needs

Hi Everyone,
Thank you to those of you who have bought tickets to this years Ladies Lunch - it's gonna be an amazing event and we'll hopefully raise loads of cash for charity.

But I need you're help!!!

I'm looking for 4 real women to model on the day in the fashion show.

They will be styled and dressed and strutting their stuff on the catwalk amongst the professional models - and they'll feel like a princess with a prize too.

So I want ladies in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s to take part, in any size or shape.

This is where YOU come in!

Are you already coming to the lunch?

Do you have a friend you'd like to nominate to model?

I have to stress if you are coming and already paid for your ticket there is no point in entering as you'll be back stage for alot of the day being pampered. BUT if you have a friend or member of the family who didn't get a ticket - this is a great way for them to get into the lunch, have a lovely day and you lot get to see them as Kate Moss.

If you know someone who'd like to do it - email me with their:

Name
Age
Size
Contact Details

And send them to: chelsea@key103.co.uk

Winners will need to be free one day next week to try the clothes - and all day on Friday May 21st for the lunch.

See you there,

Manchester Midnight Walk

Hi Everyone,

The event is for St Ann's Hospice which is a charity which means alot to me. I'm a patron of the charity and am trying to do all I can to help.

The 4th walk is taking place on July 2nd this year and we're trying to raise as much cash as we can for a 10k walk. I lost my Grandad to cancer 6 years ago and he unfortunately didn't get the greatest care, it wasn't long after that I first went to visit the hospice in Heald Green. I expected a dark and dismal place where people went to die - but I was surprised to see it was actually a bright and inspirational place with angels who work so hard to make the life of your loved ones - the best it can be right to the end.

Unfortunately they get no government funding and so it costs £16,000 every day just to keep the doors open. We don't have loads of celebs to help and we struggle to get people on board.

I know there are loads of events every year for charities in Manchester - and I know times are tougher than they've ever been, but we really need your help. The Shine event which just took place in the City Centre was great - but it floored us at St Ann's and so I need you're help even more.

It's a great event - which is fun to do and is a real boost for the hospice. It's £15 to register and you can join me and thousands of others on the night.

Back on the Diet!!!!!

Hi,
Well I'm back on the diet - not that I was ever really off it.
I took up swimming, which is something I used to do all the time as a kid - but it annoys me having to wash and dry my hair all the time so it puts me off going. Anyway I tried but because I didn't see a difference straight away I sort of gave up.
I tried walking Pop. She loves it bless her and she sort of smiles on the way round the park. I actually really enjoy that, now the weathers improved. Hopefully that will keep some of the weight off.
Work's is so busy - thats the problem. If I was bloody Kerry Katona and had all day I'd be the size of a string bean. Anyway I'm back to Diet Chef, this is brilliant!!!!
Here's the info:
You get a hamper with fully prepared, ready made meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks for those hungry moments. All you need to do is pop them in the microwave and watch the weight fall off.
It's been on tele, and loads of celebs have done it and lost loads of weight. Featured in loads of magazines like Woman, Hello and FHM.
If you fancy doing the diet with me go to: www.dietchef.co.uk
Let me know if you try it by emailing me at chelsea@key103.co.uk
See you soon, Chels x

Doggy Creche

Happy Easter!!!
Bit late I know but we've off for a week. It's nice to be back, but I loved the big ly ins every morning. Matt and I didn't go anywhere but it was just nice having a bit of time off.

I kept busy though, just want to say a huge thanks to all the ladies I met at Mere Country Club last Friday. I hosted the Beechwood Ladies Lunch to raise money for them. It was a fantastic day for a fantastic charity, and we raised as much as we could to keep their doors open enabling them to help more people and their families who are dealing with Cancer. For more information on their services and events go to: http://www.beechwoodcancercare.org.uk/

I also opened a new doggy creche in Stockport. A lovely lady called Tracy has opened Academy For Dogs in Stockport. It's basically a centre of excellence for dogs complete with training, a dog creche for when you work and even doggy days out. For £30 your dog is collected from home, taken to Southport Beach, they get brought home, bathed and delivered to your door. Poppy's booked in for the Summer!!! They also have boarding facilities and a dog shop.

The grand opening on Saturday was amazing - Tracy and her family are lovely and we raised money for Guide Dogs too. The place is open now - and if you want more information go to: http://www.academy4dogs.co.uk/

We had Adam Lambert in this morning, I hadn't actually seen him on American Idol - but he's a lovely guy. There'll be pictures of him on this part of the site from tomorrow. There's lots coming up in the next few weeks - but for now I'm off swiming. Still part of my 'trying to lose weight before the wedding' regime. It's not going brilliantly so far, but I'll keep trying.
If you ever want to get in touch by the way - email me at chelsea@key103.co.uk would be lovely to hear from you.
