Pampered but embarassed!!!

Happy Friday!!

So yesterday I treated Mum to a massage - we had a bit of a girly day after a long week and I was really looking forward to it, but she was so embarassing.

We arrived at the Radisson Edwardian on Peter St in Manchester all excited. The Sienna Spa there have got new day spa packages so I treated her to that. We chose a back and shoulder massage, facial and toe nail polish. All hyped up we trotted off to the changing rooms, told to keep knickers and bra on then put the beautiful whilte dressing gown on and slippers.

It was at that point my Mum declared she had no knickers on, well she did, but those big control pants from her knee to her boobs. She looked so funny - and left them on as we thought that was the best option at that point. The girls in there were laughing their heads off.
Anyway after all that we had a great time and left feeling very relaxed.
If you fancy treating your mum or going along with the girls, it's a good hour or so well spent and you get lunch too. Go to:
Have a great weekend,

I Can Fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday!!!

Thought I'd put this picture on to show you, Mike, Matt and I went indoor skydiving at the end of last week and this was taken just prior to actually doing it. It was brilliant, bit scary but definately worth it. If you fancy it - the place is just next to the Chill Factor e, near the Trafford Centre.

Weekend was eventful to say the least, I was in Yarm near Newcastle at our friends son's 18th birthday. It was very messy! And basically resulted in me and Matt being thrown out of the hotel at 2am - don't ask!!! Was in bed at 8.30am lastnight as a result. Actually Dancing On Ice sent me to sleep - 2 hours and 20 minutes was just too long - I was bored!

Found a really funny video on youtube by the way - it's hilarious - click this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkIhEGBTMo4

Just want to say a big thanks to everyone who's emailed aout the wedding. Had loads of info on dresses, flowers, cars and everything. If you want to email me it's chelsea@key103.co.uk

Treating Mum to a spa day on Thursday. There's some new package at the Radisson Edwardian in Manchester - so we're off there for a massage, facial and pedicure - thank god for the recession, I bloody love spa days.

Catch ya soon, Chels xxx

The Wedding Weight Loss plan begins....

So the wedding weight loss plan has begun!!

I now the wedding's about 18 months away but hey you gotta start somewhere haven't you. I did feel like a fish out of water yesterday - trying to look like I fitted in, but couldn't have stood out more if I'd tried. Typically when I shared my inner thoughts on the show this morning - the men did nothing but mock, just can't get the support these days. How's a fat girl supposed to get thin????

One guy did recommend DietChef after his wife lost 2 stone without stepping in the gym - so I've just googled it. It's diet meals on wheels!!! I might give that a go!

We're off skydiving this week - great! There's a new skydiving tunnel next to the Chill Factor at the Trafford Centre so Matt, Mike and I are off to try it out. Up to 145mph winds that make us feel like we're flying - let's hope there's no power cut!

Gino, Gino, Gino!!!

Well Gino D'acampo has just left the building - and what a lovely man.

Honestly he's gorgeous, if I was his wife I doubt I'd ever let him out of the house. He's got a new book out called The Italian Diet and it's honestly great. All the recipes are gorgeous and more importantly they all have calorific content on there - which is low!!!
If you fancy meeting him whilst buying a copy, he's at the Trafford Centre tomorow from 1pm in WH Smith.
Was at a restaurant opening lastnight in the Northern Quarter. I don' t normally venture out at night to these things to be honest - but I was promised food and so that's enough to get me out of my pj's. It's called The Bulb which is next to The Light Boutique hotel in the Northern Quarter. Fab hotel - with new York style views.
I'm still Bridezilla - in fact I've moved up a gear and bought a scrap book as a wedding planner. I now buy Bride magazine's and cut out pictures of dresses, room ideas and colours I like and stick them in my book. I think Matt's regretting asking me now.
Out tonight on a leaving do from work, for a few drinks and then a meal. We're off to Ithaca on John Dalton Street - they've got a new menu so I'm going to give it my seal of approval.
First I'm off home to fix a blocked drain. I poured the fat from some mince meat I cooked yesterday down the sink - and now that and lots of murky water is sitting in the sink. Any ideas on how best to quickly and easily oh and cheaply get rid?????? If so email me: chelsea@key103.co.uk/breakfast
Speak soon x

To Cheer You Up on a cold Friday morning.....

Look at this....

Happy New Year!!

So here we are, back to work (or not in this snow) and it’s 2010!!! The twenties, the tens, the tenners or whatever the hell we've decided to call it.

Welcome to my Chelsea Blogs bit of the site, where I just chat girly stuff that Mike won’t let me to mention on air. I can push him but not that far.

If you were listening this week, you’d have heard my news…Yes I’ve joined Team Engaged. Matt proposed in New York on Boxing Day and I’m dead chuffed. I surprised the lads on air on Monday and even I was shaking – it was so nerve wracking. We’re hoping to get married next year and so I’m full speed ahead buying Bridal magazines and exhausting websites. It’s a whole new world, I even discovered wedding TV on Sky yesterday, and yes of course I watched it for 4 hours!!! There's a name for people like me and it's Bridezilla - which I'm not I like to be honest with you. Next stop: The Wedding Show at Birmingham NEC in March. If you can understand this strange animal like obession that takes over please email me, and make me feel better at chelsea@key103.co.uk

Spent Christmas in New York, which was warmer than here believe it or not. Flew Delta from Manchester on Christmas Day and got a lovely Christmas dinner – I felt like I was in Home Alone 2 or something, especially when the pilot says in his American tanoy voice 'Ladies and Gentlemen Welcome to Delta, Happy Holidays folks , now buckle up as we go non stop to New York's JFK' very exciting! It really is an amazing place and I love it.

And it's my birthday on Friday (which I hate so close to Christmas) - usually I get unwanted Christmas gifts, or everything has a red dot in it meaning they got it free in the sale most probably. Once I even got 3 pairs of M&S knickers in a pack for my birthday - now I know my bum is on the large side but they were a size 16!!!! I won't name the friend even though we no longer speak.

Catch ya next week, Chelsea x
