Nurses are very happy!

So yesterday we delivered the benches to Ward A12 at Stepping Hill Hospital.

The benches were a thank you to the Ward and all the nurses for all their hard work and help in looking after my Nan when she was in recently for 5 weeks. It's fair to say everyone was very excited.
There were nurses everywhere, and even nurses who weren't on duty had come in to see the benches being delivered. I need to say a huge thank you to Mike Dawber at Mountrose in Bredbury. www.mountrose.co.uk
They were very kind in not only donating 3 garden benches with comfy cushions, but they also delivered them to the hospital. There were people sat on them from the very off - and even patients wouldn't get off them by the time Mum and I had left.
So thank you to all at Mountrose and thank you to the doctors and nurses - may you have many a butty on the benches.

Start of a new week!

Happy Monday,

I've just read in the papers Kerry Katona has gone mad at the shops over the weekend, and that this week is the busiest of the year on the High Street for sales. And I can believe it!!!
I was in Manchester on Saturday hosting fashion shows at Debenhams on Market Street. They've just spent a whole load of cash on the Cosmetic Hall and it looks great. We then took the fashion shows onto the tram and went to Bury Rock.
Bury Rock only opened on Friday and my god it was rammed. There's loads of new stores there - like Debenhams, Primark, H&M and loads more - definately worth a visit - and if you go on a Friday or Saturday you could combine it with a trip to the market - which is my favourite thing to do, I love it.
Anyway after working I popped into the Arndale and went though All Saints - £300 worse off 15 minutes later but saved about £300 too which is a bargain in my eyes and definately worth starving for the next week. One dress I bought in a size 12 is too big so I have to take it back - now that's a nice feeling and so starving clearly isn't that bad for me either.
Off to the shops ths week for a nice dress to wear for the Summer Ball. It's this Sunday and I've treated Matt and my Mum to a ticket so we're off shopping to get something nice.
Tomorrow I'm off to Stepping Hill Hospital to accept the delivery of my garden benches. If you don't know basically when my Nan was in A12 recently I might have accidentally broken one of the benches - and so I'm having 3 brand spanking new ones delivered for the patients and nurses to eat their butties on.
Big thank you to Mountrose of Bredbury - www.mountrose.co.uk who are delivering them tomorrow.
Speak soon, Chels x

Manchester Dog's Home

Those of you who know me, know I'm mad about animals.

My pals actually call me Dr Dolittle - every christmas I raise money for homeless dogs and my little Poppy is very spoilt and is a lucky girl indeed.
So whenever I can, I try and help Manchester Dogs Home - they do a great job.
This Sunday - the 18th Manchester Dogs Home are having their Summer Fair. It's at Crofters House, Moss Brook Road, Harpurhey, Manchester, M9 5PG
The event is taking place from 1pm till 4pm and there's laods of things to do there. They have a Rodeo, Bouncy Castle, Stalls, Games, Competitions, Tombola, and Raffle and loads more.
There's also FREE microchipping for your pet on the day. This is a great idea and it's normally around £20 so a great way to save money and locate your pet should they get lost or stolen.
So PLEASE go down and support them!!!
Just bear in mind there's no parking at the home but you can park at Asda in Harpurhey.

THANK YOU!!!!

In my last post I asked for your help - and Manchester you haven't let me down!!!

Can I just say a really big thank you to a company in Bredbury who have been really kind. Yesterday I asked if anyone could donate some garden benches to ward A12 at Stepping Hill Hospital where my Nan had been treated for 3 weeks. The ones they had were old and rotting, and yes I'd broken one.

Anyway Mountrose Ltd in Bredbury who supply to the trade, emailed me yesterday and donated 3 beautuful garden benches.

They are delivering them to the hospital next week - and there'll be photo's here on my blog.

The nurses are over the moon at the prospect of patients being able to use the benches in the Summer to get some fresh air and they might even sneak a butty or two in there aswell.

So massive thanks to Mountrose Ltd in Bredbury - life savers, and Summer savers!!!

I'm Back...

Well I'm back, after being off for a week - and I've got to say it's lovely.

I was in Italy last week doing bits for the wedding. Matt and I went out to choose some things. It's such a lovely country, and now we are trying to learn Italian to make things easier - but I find the pronunciation so hard. I sound French all the time.

I'm also on the hunt for 3 garden benches. Nan has been a bit poorly so I've spent tonnes of time in Stepping Hill Hospital. The nurses on A12 were lovely. There's a little garden off the ward with a graden bench. I sat on it last week and fell through the back as it's so rotten. So I've decided to find 3 new ones for them so the patients can sit out there and the nurses can eat their lunch on them too.

So if you know anyone who can help, maybe you work in orange at B&Q? Or you run Brookside Garden Centre in Poynton? Then get in touch, and I'll give you a great big mention on air.

Cheers,
Chels x
